The CO2 emissions generated and certified by Axolight during 2023, along with those of all companies part of the Dexelance group, have been compensated through the purchase of voluntary carbon credits, aimed at financing:
– a reforestation project in Uruguay, focusing on an area of more than 21,000 hectares previously cleared and degraded for cattle grazing. The project is certified by both the Rainforest Alliance and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC);
– the construction and operation of a 10MWp solar power plant in Rajasthan, India, whose surplus energy is fed back to the grid, reducing fossil fuel energy production.
In order to quantify, monitor and limit greenhouse gas emissions, Axo Light Srl and Axo Light USA Inc, have complied with the ISO 14064-1 standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The adherence to ISO 14064-1 has enabled Axolight to activate Carbon Management policies and communicate its commitment to environmental sustainability to its stakeholders.
